Fall Fire!
Knitting night in NDG is getting out of control -- when I got to the Second Cup last night, there were at least 15 knitters and someone had clamped a swift onto one of the little tables! Hilarious.
Then the lovely and generous Robyn gave me a fabulous birthday present: the October sock kit from her online shop, Robyn's Nest. The kit includes a 100-gram skein of LuLu's Yarns Supersock (wool/nylon; colourway: Fall Fire), a sock pattern by LuLu herself (Lucia Tedesco), and four pretty stitch markers made by Robyn. (Robyn is behind the Stitch Marker Exchange, so she knows her stitch markers.) The colours in this yarn are fabulous -- all the colours of the leaves that are outside on the sidewalks are in here: brown, orange, red, yellow, and a dark brownish-purple. Perfect for October. (You're jealous, aren't you? Too late for your own October kit, I'm afraid, but there's always November....) Thanks, Robyn!

That yarn is GORGEOUS!
Lucky you! And that sounds like my kind of knit night. :)
Ooooh! October gets the best colors!
Those are the exact colors outside my window right now. Gorgeous!
Man, I'm envious! The only gift type item I got from a friend was some regifted candles, some chocolate with bacon in it (yeah, not so much), and ice cube trays that have swizzle sticks in them. AND SHE KNITS!!!
My favorite gift was from my husband...a new bike. I could use some yarn, though... :)
Can you send me some info about the knit nights in NDG? I'm in Verdun, and would love to meet up with some fellow knitters.
If possible would there be room for 3 more (in total) I've got a very small knitting group, but it would be great to join a larger one as well.
Oh man -- I've been looking for people to knit with in Montreal, and my boyfriend lives in NDG. The Second Cup on Monkland?
I just started reading your blog because i'm a montreal knitter and i'm looking for some people to knit with. Is there any way to join your knitting group in NDG? Your blog is great and it's nice to read about knitting in Montreal instead of somewhere in the US.
