Where are they now?
1. Granny-Square Afghan
For a while I was working on these squares quite often, but it's been a while now since I picked up the hook. Obviously these squares have not been blocked. I don't have a plan in mind for arranging the colours, and at this point, I'm just using the wool I have left -- since there's not much red, for example, there won't be any more squares with large red circles, but there should be a few more with red centres. I have quite a bit of the green, so I figure that when I run out of the other colours I'll crochet the squares together with green and then use whatever green is left for a border. If there's lots of green left, there will be a wide border -- but that's months and months away.
2. Blustery
Remember when I was happily knitting a Blustery vest and in love with my tubular cast-on? Yeah, those were good times. I finished knitting the back and both fronts last month and eagerly blocked them -- to gigantic dimensions. It's just too big. I plan to pull it apart, soak and dry and wind the yarn, and start again. Sometime after I finish the Josephine Top... (Today's rule: no using the word swatch in the comments.)
3. Clessidra
My knee-high Clessidra Stockings are only temporarily on hold, while I knit the more seasonally appropriate Josephine Top. I finished one sock and am about five inches down the leg of the second sock. Still loving these.

bummer... don't you wish you 'd have blocked the back as soon as it was finished?... But the squares look really nice!
Even when you wash and block your sw...... s... sweater precursor, scary stuff can happen to your knitted final product (more fabric yankin' on the stitches?).... I feel for you...
You've got some great WIPs! I love the colors of your granny squares, Josephine is looking lovely, and your green Clessidra is super cool.
Sorry about Blustery. I had that happen not too long ago to the Wicked sweater I made. When it came out of its bath it had grown so much it could have been worn in Flashdance.

I've been there. I only wish I had your wisdom and had blocked it and realized my mistake before I sewed it up and felt "done" enough not to want to frog it.

Hey! You don't have to justify your UFOs to me. I am the queen of UFOs. Since I am catching up on blogs, this will be an omnibus comment. Josephine looks awesome, I was just coveting that pattern. Welcome back to meat. Poutine looks super yummy. We went to an awesome hamburger place in Montreal. I will see if I can track down the name. Summer plans? Now that I am back from vacation, it is time to make a schedule for writing, work, and play.
There's something very visually pleasing about those granny squares...
