3 weeks out

My due date is in three weeks, on Dec. 8. We're feeling pretty on top of things -- we're taking our weekly prenatal classes; we've taken a tour of the birthing centre at the hospital; we've got the cloth diaper service set up; we're taking an infant CPR course this Friday; we've got the crib up (but it's filled with other stuff at the moment); the base of the carseat is in the car; and I've finished my part-time job. We've got pretty much everything we need, according to lists like this one, this one, and this one. I think we're as ready as we're going to be! And we're definitely excited. So watch this space -- I may check in again before the baby comes, or the next post might contain the big news...

I've been thinking about you guys for the past week. Dunno why. I am glad to see your post today. To see you guys so ready for this life-changing event.

And to see Mook already keeping baby nice and warm.

Best wishes for the delivery experience you are dreaming of! Looks like Mookie might be putting on a bit of baby weight there though ;-)

Best wishes for both baby and mom!

Interesting thing with cloth diapers: I found that my premie 6 lb. daughter (yup, my full term daughter was 10 lb. 6 oz.) had a bottom that was just too small for cloth diapers. I was reduced to buying extra-small disposables until she grew a bit. Guess I'm saying if they offer you some free disposables to bring home, take them!

Oh, where were those lists four and a half years ago?! Sounds like you are totally ready. Get your rest, good luck with everything, and post a birth story when you feel like it!

Good luck! My baby was born in a birthing center too, and it was a great experience. The midwives were lovely and the labor tub felt wonderful :)
I'm so excited for you!

You look great! I looked like (and felt like) a whale at 8 mos. But I loved being pregnant. I have 4 lovely children and a 2 year old Grandson.

You're going to love being a Mom.
