Ready or not
Well, my flight leaves at 3:30 this afternoon, which means I'll leave the house at about two o'clock, which is a little more than five hours from now. I'm about 80 percent packed, and my paper is (gulp) about 75 percent written. But I've done the really important stuff, like picking out yarn and a sock pattern for the plane ride.
I think I need a priority adjustment...

That sounds just like a page out of my life. I always pack the knitting before finishing my poster/paper content and packing actual clothes.
Sounds to me like your priorities are perfectly in order :P Have fun in e-town!
Have a great trip Alison! Nice sock yarn - where's it from?
That sock yarn looks like it's going to be scrumptious. I was the same way about packing for San Francisco a couple of weeks ago. I obsessed over what to bring knitwise (ha ha) and what projects I was going to buy for while there.
I don't know; your priorities sound fine to me...
OK freakgirl, those others are just humouring you. And no, this is not a great opportunity to clean your fridge. Or to re-organise your languishing knits. And I'd better go start laundry for my trip, which starts in 12 hours. Hmmm. Are you my other sister?
Oh no, dear. You have your priorities right. Yarn is medicine for madness. Everything else is incidentals. I agonize more over the WIPS than anything else on a trip.
