Briefly
I'm back home -- for three days, before heading off to Edmonton for a conference. I knit through the whole bus ride from Toronto to Montreal yesterday (about six and a half hours). As we were leaving Toronto, I was chain-stitching for the provisional cast-on for the right front piece of Grannie Smith, and as we were pulling into Montreal, I was doing armhole decreases. I probably could've finished the whole piece if I'd been able to sustain my knitting pace, but after a couple of hours of lace knitting with sock yarn, my fingers were a little fumbly. Still, it was a lot of knitting. And that's my last piece of Grannie Smith! I may start blocking the other pieces today while I work on my conference paper.
OK, back to work. Have a good weekend!
p.s., Mooky is fine! Sorry to leave you hanging. It turned out that his tongue was not punctured -- just missing the top layer of skin in one spot and a bit cut. The vet gave him an injection of antibiotics (to save me from having to get pills into his sore little mouth) and some anti-inflammatory medicine, and within a few days, the Mook had stopped drooling and started washing again. Whew!

Edmonton? Really?? You'll miss the Fringe festival which is too bad! But the weather will be nice next week for you.
Wow, I cant' wait to see your Grannie Smith! The design looks like a great fit for you.
Thanks for the Mooky update. That's good news about your kitty boy.
What a rockstar you are!
Thank goodness Mookys tongue is Ok, I couldn't stop thinking about the poor thing!
hey mooky! glad you're all better. :)
We drove down to Surfers Paradise for the afternoon yesterday. I'm sure Edmonton is lovely, but now that it's almost spring, I can really recommend you attend a conference in Queensland!
Um, this may be a little forward, but you are welcome to join our Stitch N Bitch next week. Let me know if you're interested. We're really funny and not annoying at all.
Thank you for the updates on Granny Smith, Mooky, and you. Glad all are well.
Looking forward to pictures whenever you can. Keep studying!
