It's so windy outside that my house is shaking, and it's even getting a little blustery inside. About six inches of Blustery, to be exact.

My yarn (KnitPicks Merino Style) arrived this morning, as I was heading out to school to hand in a paper. (Yay! One down, two to go.) I cast on when I got home and knit for two hours. The colour (nutmeg) is actually warmer than it appears in this photo -- it's the colour of golden brown sugar.

p.s. Happy birthday to my big brother, Tom!

Mmm... stockinette. Easy on the brain *and* easy on the eyes.

Keep killing those papers!

I have to start thinking about my thesis chapters as "papers." Five 15-20 page papers seems much more manageable than a single 75-100 page paper. OK, I am motivated to finish one "paper" by the end of the weekend!

Knit and write like the winds that shake your house!

The colour of the yarn is both rich and relaxing. Very nice Blustery start.

Birthday best wishes to Tom :o)

Golden Brown Sugar... another impossible thing to find here in France, but luckily I stocked on the sugar on my last trip home. When I talk about molasses to the French, they look puzzled, sometimes even scared. Oh, well... Anyway, the colour is great, so is Blustery. Enjoy your end of term paper writing. (Yeah, right!) I'm happy that's over for me.

This wind is awful... a little more than blustery!
I do love the vest. So wearable and a great neutral color too.
