Crochet WIPs

I've been crocheting, and the more I crochet, the more I like to crochet. I'm feeling more confident with my (still limited) skills. Now I know where the end of a row is, and how to count the stitches. I know I'd rather dc or sc than hdc. I'm just past the mid-point of two projects at the moment: a top and a pillow.

("Icelandic Turtleneck" from Crochet Me, but without the full turtleneck -- in fingering-weight Jojoland 100% wool)

("Knotty Pillows" from Crochet Today -- in Bernat Satin and Red Heart Soft Touch acrylics)

I clicked on the link for the wood pillows, but I don't see which issue it's from...want want want! Those are SO cool!

Whoops, duh...it's on the home page, latest issue. :-) I am brainless...

Love the application of crochet to create wood grain. Very nice work!

mmm ... i'm wondering if I would not just stop the top here ... looks like the perfect thing between the sweater and the capelet to me !

Gah! I was just sitting her smugly, mocking the knit-bloggers-crocheting trend and smirking that NOTHING could ever convince me to crochet. And then you posted that pillow. Thanks a lot.

Your pillow looks great. I must admit, I bought the most recent issue of Crochet Today just for this project.

wow, I love both of these. The pillows are so freaking clever! I have one crochet cardi in my Rav queue - I haven't worked up the courage yet, but I'm going to one day.

I still love the turtleneck top, but I am valiantly resisting buying the book! I really should finish the crochet projects I have first!
