Xmas knits
I didn't do too much gift knitting this year -- just socks for my parents. (Didn't get a pair done for my brother. Sorry, Tom!) I used Patons Kroy 4-ply for both pairs, which is one of the best workhorse sock yarns out there. For my mom's socks, I used my own pattern:
For my dad's socks, I didn't use a pattern. To be speedy, I just knit plain st. st. (with a *k1, p1* cuff):
These socks are "Glencheck" Kroy (plies are grey and brown), and the low-contrast toes are "Mercury" Kroy. My mom's socks are "Muslin" Kroy. Both pairs were received happily.

They're both great! Your pattern turned out beautifully.
Very nicely done! Congratulations!
Great socks, your knitting is inspirational. I always love your yarn and classic pattern choices. I have some new "Butterscotch" coloured sock yarn bought with your sock pattern in mind.
Oh, I love the simple elegance of the cables in your sock pattern!
Awesome. What perfect gifts. Now I need to check out Kroy.
I didn't do any Christmas knitting this year so that I could, instead, start knitting for next year right now and not want to gouge out my eyes.
those are amazing!
I have still to learn how to knit socks and gloves, seems like I've tried making everything else but those just seem too 'tricky' still :) - maybe because I have not clue how to work with more than 2 needles at a time...
The socks look great! And socks are always the perfect gift :)
tu es la reine de la chaussette et du tricot en général ... si tu es d'accord je te mets en lien ... avec mes meilleurs voeux, Tine de Paris
I think the ash color socks are better then the white.
Hummm these look warm and cozy :-)
Nice to wear in these cold days...
