Another quickie

To continue the whirlwind nature of the last few weeks, I'm just popping in quickly to let you know that I'm heading off on a camping trip bright and early tomorrow morning. I got home from Edmonton yesterday and have been busy since then, and now Bill and I are heading east to Nova Scotia. I'm so excited -- I've always wanted to visit Atlantic Canada. We're heading to Saint John tomorrow and then ferrying to Digby; beyond that, we're just going to see what happens, which is the beauty of setting out with a car and a tent.

I'm quite looking forward to being away from my computer for the next ten days or so. See you when I get back!

p.s., I'm knitting those Crosswalkers with Lang Super Soxx (colour: 630.0074[!]). Thanks for the compliments, but I'm still not sold on the way those colours are coming out...

Yay - Atlantic Canada! (I live in Halifax). If you end up in our neck of the woods, we have a knit group on Tues nights and a ton of knit-bloggers floating around.

Let me know if you need anything/advice!

It's been raining like hell lately, but Sept is usually the best month around here so hopefully the sun comes out soon.

Thanks for the sock yarn info. Well if you decide they are not your thing, I'd be willing to swap a little something for it ;)

Oooh! You're coming to the Maritimes? Yay! Digby is only a 1-hour drive from Yarmouth (where I live), so if you end up here, let me know! I'd love to meet you! We also have a super comfy futon if you need a place to rest your head.

My favorite memories of Nova Scotia: Fortress of Louisbourg, the tidal bore (I got up at 2 am to see it), Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in Lunenburg, everything about Halifax, and Alexander Keith's IPA. Have a great trip.

Guess what? I'm coming your way in just 2 weeks! I'll be in Mexico City, Bogota, Lima, Santiago, and Sao Paulo. My first time to the New World. So exciting.

If you happen to visit the South Shore, definitely drop by Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. Stunningly beautiful towns. And there's a wonderful yarn store in Mahone Bay -- Have a Yarn.

EEEH! You're coming to Canada's Ocean Playground.

I see Moe beat me to the punch, mentioning our knitting group - but in case you need a tour guide while you're in town, let me know.
