Thimbles
Thanks for the thimble info! Clearly I'll have to try out a few different kinds to figure out what works for me. I did go to Fabricville on Monday, and from their dismal selection I chose an adjustable Clover thimble (this one), so I'll give that a try first.
And thanks to Carolyn, who anticipated my next questions and sent a link to julieree's handquilting video tutorial. It really helps me to see quilting in action. So hopefully I'll start quilting next weekend -- yay! I'm excited.

I like the looks of that one -- I haven't tried it yet! This is the type I was thinking of: http://www.createforless.com/products/productDetail.asp?ProductID=5747&GCID=C10601x061&utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=cse
Neat! (I think Carolyn is kind of a quilting goddess.)
de rien.
my mom has a thimble similar to that (but diff. brand) for both her middle finger and her thumb. (she also has different size thimbles for winter & summer.)
