First flowers!
Where yesterday there was only dirt and a few green shoots, today there are these purply-blue flowers! And I swear they're multiplying as the day goes on. How did I find them? Well, I was out hanging my wash on the clothesline, of course. Because that's what I do in the *s*p*r*i*n*g*! Smell ya later, winter.

Woo!
I have those flowers, too, in my garden. It´s kind of weird that here in south-west Finland where I live those flowers were blooming 3 weeks ago and we´re located so much more north than you are!
They really are beautiful and the Spring is definately coming!! We had some +19 C degree days here last week.
Those are the kind of "blues" that make you feel great! My perennials are coming out of hibernation, as well.
Pretty!! We have a few of those coming up now, too. No leaves, though...
Woo. Hoo! Happy spring to you! :)
Yeah!!! Spring has finally made it to Canada!!!!
Loooooooove those! I would love some seeds (or bulbs) if you care to trade, I will have some easy to germinate Amaryllis seeds.....see my new garden blog at http://lusgarden.blogspot.com/ for pics of the heirloom plants I have.
I found you on the knitting blogger's ring, I just joined 2 days ago myself (http://luknits.blogspot.com/).
I sometimes wish we had seasons instead of eternal spring. I find it remarkable that such pretty things can live under such bitter snows. Must be such a treat to see the bloomin' things emerge after being trapped indoors for months. What kind of flowers are they?
Ooo! How happy!
It was a great drying day today & yesterday. I did the sheets & can't wait to snuggle into bed. I've got grape hyacinths up in the garden today.
Hi Ali, Those are purty flowers. I wish I knew what they were. I'm glad spring has finally reached your part of Canada. As you are well aware, spring reaches Vancouver a little earlier. My early daffs have come and gone, and the tulips are going great guns, and all sorts of other things I now wish I'd kept the tags for.
In fact, I wished I knew so much that I posted your picture on GardenWeb's name that plant forum, and lo, they're 'Scilla siberica'
I'm sure my life is enriched for knowing that.
Blue is my favorite color -- they're just gorgeous. Great photo!
