Sock pattern PDFs
I've bookmarked 18 gazillion knitting patterns over the last couple of years, and saved copies of 3 jillion PDF patterns. In sorting through them this morning, I thought I'd gather some of those links here. There are loads of great free patterns online for socks, as I'm sure you know. Here are a few of the ones I've bookmarked (and have yet to knit) -- all are PDF files (because that's how I like 'em best):
- Cable Twist Socks by Adrian (Hello Yarn)
- Campfire Socks by Cider Moon (yes, I'm linking to these two days in a row -- what?)
- Clementine's Baltic Socks by Di (clementine's shoes)
- Elfine's Socks by Anna (My Fashionable Life)
- the new Leyburn Socks and the older Zokni Socks by Mintyfresh (pepperknit)
- Poseidon Socks by Elinor (exercise before knitting)
- worsted Traveler Socks by Diana (d-made)

Totally unrelated link: One of my very best friends in the whole world is in a band, and their new record is coming out next month! Watch for it, buy the record, go to a live show -- you won't regret it. (Unless you have no sense of humour or hate electronic dance music, in which case you very well might regret it.)

And that's not all... It's two degrees above zero today! I'm wearing a skirt! Woot!

I'm knitting my second pair of socks ever, and I love the campfire socks, and they cable twist socks. Now I've got them saved :-)
Thanks for all the linky-dinks!
Thanks for the links!
Remember all the snow we had here in Minneapolis? Like, 1.5 weeks ago? When I had to work from home 3 days out of 5? Um, all gone - it's been nearly 60F for DAYS here. WEIRD.
Weird... this was totally going to be my next post! Lots of great (free!) patterns, many underappreciated. Glad someone else was thinking the same thing!
Thanks for the links, I've just added four new patterns to my PDF collection.
I've downloaded many of the same patterns. You'll love the simplicity and stretchiness of the Cable Twist socks.
Skirts! Me too! At least my spring break is cooperating in weather, if not in reduced schoolwork.
... and now I'm bookmarking this post as the sock pattern motherload page. Double Woot!
It was 37c here on Sunday and I was wearing boardies, and nothing else!
Thank you so much for the sock patterns.........
Hey, I'm glad you like the Poseidon socks. I'm a total Cable Twist Sock Ho these days. That is the best pattern ever. Easy but not totally mindless and they fit like ribbed socks but aren't nearly as boring!
Good luck using up some of that sock yarn. I'm cheap too with yarn remnants - I keep thinking that if I get some sock yarns that actually go together, I could make a baby hat or something small out of the remnants. So far, electric blue, forest green, burgundy, and red/orange/yellow don't really mix. At all. :-)
Stay warm!
