I still knit
... in case you were wondering whether I'd permanently traded in my needles for a crochet hook. Perish the thought!
I'm knitting a simple pair of cozy house socks, with some unlabelled sport/DK-weight wool that Mia sent me ages ago.
I looked very quickly at the new Knitty patterns yesterday. The only must-knit item for me is Clessidra -- those gorgeous long, cabled socks. The Carolyn cardigan is cute. I'm too cold to look at most of the other patterns. It's not spring! It's -16C outside!

Strange you should mention it - I thought it was too hot already for most of the Knitty patterns! VBG!
We had a high of 24 C yesterday. (DH did the conversion so I could tell you in Centigrade instead of Fahrenheit.)
The one thing I liked was the fingerless mitts. They can be made to fit a man, too. That is the first knitting thing he's asked for in years, so I was so glad to find a good pattern.
Lovely photo! The Knitty site was so inundated with visitors that I have only had a peek at some of the patterns. I did like the two that you mentioned, though.
Nice pedicure :)
I'm drooling over the Clessidra socks too.
I love that photo!
I too was drooling over the Clessidra socks. But first I need to conquer regular socks.
Cute sock! Nice pedicure, too, especially at this time of year! (my feet are SAAAAD right now!)
I too am in love with Clessidra, me with my new-found sock lust.
Glad to hear you haven't abandoned us for the hook.
I don't even remember that yarn!! I was thinking about you when I was cataloging my sock yarn last weekend. Don't worry, the excess sock yarns are going to a good home. I can't wait to see the finished pair.
Sure, sure... I mean, how are we s'pose to know that those are your feet? You probably just stole that image off a non-English knitblog, you fiending crocheter!
You can't pull the wool over my eyes, you Hooker you.
That was the only pattern that really caught my eye, too! For toes that are mostly hiding in thick socks, yours are darn spiffy. :)
Great photo! I love the composition of it!
Hey, I'm really liking your crocheted blanket (and the socks are cute too)! I do hope that you will be sharing your thoughts on Little Mosque on the Prairie - when I read that you were writing a paper on it, I immediately took interest.
Great photo - very cute! And it's spring where I am - I was thrilled by the Knitty patterns!
very cute....those are some great socks on Knitty - I have them on my list too!!!
