I bought new long johns last Friday, so I'm feeling very pleased with myself. What's it like where you are?

I guess some people actually watched the game, but did you catch the Superbowl half-time show yesterday? OhmigoditwasPRINCE! The Purple One was divine, as always. (I saw him play live once, at the Coliseum in Vancouver, on the Lovesexy tour in 1988. [Gulp! Nineteen years ago?] One of the best live shows ever.) I thought he was an interesting choice for the Superbowl -- talk about displaying different modes of masculinity! Performance 1: dozens of beefy, "manly" men running into one another. Performance 2: one small and fabulous man with a turquoise suit, immaculately set hair, and a high-pitched voice. A small but nice interruption of gender norms there. Nice work, Superbowl people.

65 degrees, cloudy, wind advisory in not-so-sunny South Florida. If you watched the Super Bowl, you got an idea of the fantastic weather over the weekend.

Wind chill of 0 degrees here in the DC metro area. I don't know why, but I love it when it's 0 degrees... you know since the C and F are the same. (I'm easily amused.)

Today was the first day I broke out the long johns. It's cold here, but not that cold! This is bad enough. Yikes.

The windchill in NYC is -1 farenheit (-18 celsius). Ouch.

I'm SO with you on the Superbowl halftime show. Prince was just amazing. I even watched it again on You Tube today.

Try to stay warm!

Indeed, I was just gushing over Prince's performance myself. The finale would NOT have been the same without the pouring rain, and seeing as I do not care for the football, I think the weather there was perfect. And I am jealous of the people who got to be on the field. When I was in the halftime show (embarrassing but true factoid from my past) the performers were not nearly as cool.

it's a whopping 7 Fahrenheit right now. I could use those longjohns!

prince was awesome!!!

it's pretty darn cold here in NYC!

i actually watched the game and decided to make the bed during the halftime show :)

I'm in Halifax where it is -7C. Can't complain about that since I just talked to someone in Ottawa where it's -34C.

Loved the Princely half-time show, though his dancers whipping their hair around manically pained me.

You forgot his high heels!! :D

I thought Prince was great. And, what a good sport to keep on going in that down pour. I'm in the Tampa Bay area. It's a little cool for us in the 50's. It was funny last night. We looked at the radar and south Florida appeared to be the only place in the state that was getting rain. I'm happy for Tony Dungy and his Colts. Tony was here (TB Bucs) for a number of years. He's a real stand up guy!

Here in Northeast PA: 6F with wind chill somewhere between -5F to -15F. Prince's half-time show was very cool.

53F and hazy.

Easily the best halftime show I have ever seen. The Hendrix/Foo Fighters medley was. so. awesome. Purple Rain IN THE RAIN? Could it get any better than that?

As you have heard from my co-NYCers, it's pretty damn cold here. The thermals are on, and they're stayin' on.

Prince! I saw him live once too, in Mpls., in 1984. Didn't matter that my friend's parents were two rows behind us.

I changed the channel just in time to see Prince perform! (And changed it again once he was done). Loved his makeup and girly do rag! But he hid his high heels by wearing really long pants, I guess he didn't want to cross that line.
Yup, -10 C in NYC. Time to bundle up in the hand knits!

Wow, the rock I live under has gotten bigger...I didn't even know that it was Superbowl time. Sheesh. Leave the television behind and popular culture is all gone. At least I have the internets to keep me in the loop.

I love the retro patterns! Please post more of them when you can :)

It's not raining here in Vancouver, so it's the other sky -- blinding white overcast.

Its currently 29 degrees C in the OC. It hasn't been this hot in a few months!

But I really miss the cold....really I do!

and I thought it was cold here (-10 C degrees, but feels like -15C)!

wish i had tv... i missed the superbowl (no big deal) but would have LOVED to have seen prince. Not just different modes of masculinity, but different modes of sexiness too! sigh...

Oh man, I loved Prince too. Went to his last tour in Los Angeles...loved it so much, we went again 4 days later!!

It's 74F here in the Central Coast of California, oddly warm today, partly cloudy, with an expected low tonight in the low 40's.

Suffice to say, I don't like cold weather. Snow is pretty - on a postcard :)

It's -19 C but feels like -29 C here in freezing Fredericton!

I've *got* to get some new longjohns now that we're finally having winter weather!

damn! If I had known that Prince would be on, I would have actually watched the darned game! I saw him a while back in Buffalo. I was in the 5th row. It was AWESOME. He has the finest ass I've ever seen on a human being.

It's currently 53*F in the San Francisco East Bay; the high today was 67*F. It's supposed to start raining tomorrow evening, and rain through Friday, with showers Saturday. I hope so - we need the rain.

Prince was SO fabulous. It was strange to hear him do some covers, but he rocked out.

Um, OHMYGOD I can NOT believe how cold it is where you are. Seriously, I could not handle it. I bow down to your bravery and strength. :)

I would say that was the best halftime show ever! I especially liked the big flowing fabric screen through which we could see the Shadow of Prince. NICE!

Oh, and it's pretty darn coldcoldcold here too. ;-)

Easily was the best half time show EVER! Prince...just perfect! Game...let's not talk about that. :)

It's cool here in Portland OR, but not cold.

I thought it was cold here. Apparently I am mistaken.

I'm a big Prince fan too--I sat through the first two quarters to make sure I would see the halftime show. The TV was switched off after he played. I was really excited to hear he was playing the halftime show. Guitar genius!!!
