The yarn that ate my head


So I knit another cabled neck tube with my luscious Malabrigo wool. This time, I cast on more stitches and did fewer cable twists so the whole thing would be looser. Well, yeah, it was looser:



I love the colour, I love the softness, but this neckwarmer is just not going to work. I let my guard down for just a few seconds, and it nearly swallowed my head!



Whew, that was close! I'm not going to give up on this yarn, but I'm definitely going to rip this project. I think the Malabrigo would prefer to be a long, skinny scarf of some sort, with fringe-y ends.
