Gregory Peck (who of course played Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird) has died at the age of 87.

Knitting away on the little Haiku sweater. At the moment -- just starting across the back -- it looks like an oddly shaped dishcloth. So far, so good.

At work today I came across a lengthy list of palindromes. Sure, we all know the basic ones (Wonton? Not now.), but there are some truly amazing ones out there. There must be a computer program that comes up with these; how could a person figure them out from scratch? Here are some of my favourites:
