I'm back in Taipei. India was like nothing I've ever seen before. We had a truly excellent time -- and 12 rolls of film to prove it. I'll tell you all about it sometime.

In the meantime, I'm thinking of trying to knit a pair of mitts while it's still relatively coolish here (14 degrees today). I like the idea of making the war-time mitts that ladies made for soldiers, from a pattern in the Mt. Allison paper.

I was a bridesmaid once, a few years back, and luckily I wore a lovely dress (which my very patient mother made). Many others have not been so lucky. Check out the evidence, if you dare.

On the other hand, if you'd like a little glamour in your life today, you can always turn to Audrey Hepburn.
